VIP Kiwanis Aktion Club Installation

On October 16, 2012, five new members were installed in the VIP Aktion Club. Members, pictured here with Elkhorn Kiwanis Club liaison D.J. Richardson (l.) andRuth Jones(r.), participated in a joint Peanut Sale venture recently with the Elkhorn Club to raise funds for Project Eliminate. Project Eliminate is a joint effort of Kiwanis International and UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.

144 golfers filled the course and raised over $66,000 in support of VIP Services. Thanks to EVERYONE for making this event such a success!

Volunteering Can Be Fun!

Looking for something fun and rewarding to do this summer? VIP Services has many enjoyable volunteer opportunities available. If you only have a day or two to spare, you might want to sign up to volunteer at our annual Picnic and Talent Show on Thursday, July 19^th or our Walworth County Fair outing on Thursday, August 30^th. If you are a student needing to complete community service hours, you can get a head start on the fall semester! Pancake Breakfast

VIP Services Kiwanis Aktion Club will be hosting the annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday April 22nd from 7:00 AM until 12:00 PM. It is an event you don’t want to miss.

On the menu again this year will be all you can eat of pancakes, eggs, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee. Of course all your condiments will be available.

Adults will be charged $6.00 at the door. Children under 6 will be free.

New Class of Ambassadors

VIP Services welcomes a new class of Ambassadors and Coaches to the ranks of the agency’s Speakers Bureau following their three day training session in January. They include Ambassadors (first row) David Weber, Matt Church, Rosa Spellman, Dianne Kieliszewski, Tammie Steinert and Alex Whitmore. Their coaches (second row) include Deb Alder, Ginger Nelson, Pat Eames, Linda Cheney, Arlene Weyrough and Ken Nelson.

If you missed the VIP Services St. Benedict Fish Fry night on February 24, remember that you can still participate and help to support VIP Services by attending any of the additional five Friday nights during Lent: March 2, 9, 16 or 30th. We had a great turnout of family members, clients, friends volunteers and staff on the 24th and all will vouch that the food was fabulous!
