Sadie Hintz

When she graduated from Lakeland School in 2011, Sadie was worried about what to do next.  Lakeland School helped her to prepare for her to get started in her first job. Later, she started working with a job coach from VIP Services who helped her to continue to be successful in her job.  Her coach helped her to understand the array of responsibilities involved with being a cook, as well as how to get along with her co-workers and what it takes to be really successful in the work environment.

After several years of employment, Sadie had to find a new job.  VIP Services helped her to locate her current job at Covenant Harbor in Lake Geneva.  Sadie hated the time between jobs when she wasn’t working.  She missed her friends from work, but even more, she missed having the feeling of independence that working and making her own money gave her.  Today she loves her new job at Covenant Harbor and has made many new friends.

Recently, she has taken another important step toward independence by moving into a group home in Delavan.  Though she misses her family, she recognizes that she is taking on additional responsibilities for every day decision making.
