VIP Services is excited to announce that our Smart Restart plan is underway! We are so appreciative of the support we have received and encouragement so many of you have provided us during this time apart.
Since the end of April, we have been targeting May 26th as the beginning of our rollout return both our Day Services and Prevocational Training programs. We continue to plan for Tuesday, May 26th as the opening.
VIP Services Smart Restart plan is a phased-in approach that will allow everyone the best chance for a successful return to regular and structured services. The four phases are:
- Prevocational Services reopening on Tuesday, May 26th
- Virtual and Remote Day Services beginning June 1st
- On-site Day Services Pilot Program reopening mid-summer*
- Transition to full capacity Day Services following successful Pilot Program*
*These dates are contingent upon the successful operation during the previous phases
Over the next week, we will be communicating with our clients, their caregivers and families, and their funding sources what steps we are taking to ensure that VIP Services is a welcoming, safe, and inspiring place for every client who uses our services.
Here is what you can expect to see from us by next Friday, May 22nd.
- Health and Safety Guidelines for clients, staff, and visitors
- Transportation policy updates
- Introduction to our New Remote and Virtual Services programs
- What new and creative programs will enhance our clients’ day while adhering to the health and safety guidelines
- Virtual video tour, which will be posted on Facebook, YouTube, and our website that will show the physical changes to our program spaces
- Videos on new screening procedures, transportation services, and required health and safety measures that will be followed by everyone within our E. Geneva Street facility.
We are very excited to bring the VIP Services family of staff and clients back together. We know you have plenty of questions. We still are working through some of our own questions. We will not open until we are confident that everyone who comes to VIP Services will benefit from the programs and be safe while doing so.
