Back to Loveland Acres!

Earlier this month, we returned to Loveland Acres. The group spent time bundling cucumbers, planting more vegetables, and feeding the animals. It’s been exciting for the group to see their hard work yield results. As always, we are appreciative to Scarlet for allowing us these opportunities.

Gone Fishing!

On Tuesday, July 19th, Day Services clients went fishing at Ceylon Lagoon, in Bigfoot State Park. We would like to thank our volunteers Rich Wasik, and Michael Glover for sharing their passion for fishing with us. We would not be able to go on these outings without our outstanding VIP staff, and volunteers like Rich and Michael.

VIP Yummies Cafe Has it’s Debut!

The VIP Yummies Cafe opened last Friday for it’s big debut. Thank you to the clients and staff for the hard work and to the customers. There was french toast, sausage patties, watermelon, juice, and ice cream sundaes for dessert. Everything was delicious! Great job everyone!

VIP Yummies Cafe- Practice Makes Perfect!

Our Day Services clients have been working very hard in preparation for their restaurant day. They practiced serving meals to patrons late last week and continue to prep this week. Everyone did a fantastic job and are having such a good time with this project. The big day will be Friday, July 15th!

Scarlet Visits VIP!

Our Day Services group has been getting to know Scarlet from Loveland Acres Farms and this week she came here to VIP for a visit. Scarlet got the VIP tour of Day Services, an invitation to the VIP Yummies Cafe debut, and stayed to visit with the group and hear about some of the other projects going on here. We are very grateful for our friend Scarlet.

Going Fishing!

Day Services has a fishing trip planned for July 19th so the group spent some time with Jim over at Fleet Farm to learn about some of the equipment and supplies that will be needed. Jim shared his expertise about what makes a good starter setup for fishing. A big thanks to Jim for his knowledge and advice!

VIP Yummies Cafe Prepares the Kitchen

In preparation for the VIP Yummies Cafe opening, Day Services clients and staff have been working hard to get the kitchen up and running. Everyone helped clean up, and disinfect their work area. The group will be working on advertising, serving, and cleanup next. Everyone is really taking pride in this project; as they should!
